Connecting a new private hangar from the property entrance to each tenant

A newly constructed Aurora hangar received a connected, remotely manageable environment for owners, tenants, and high-value assets.

Environment
Multi-tenant aviation hangar
Location
Aurora, Oregon

The challenge

A newly constructed private hangar in Aurora, Oregon needed a complete technology environment for the property, building, tenants, and the customers those tenants serve. The facility had no inherited infrastructure, but its design presented several technical constraints: metal construction affecting wireless coverage, outdoor areas and property entrances, high-value aircraft and equipment, difficult cabling paths, multiple tenants with different customers, gates, controlled entry, surveillance, internet connectivity, and the need for remote administration. These systems needed to be designed together before isolated installation decisions created gaps.

The approach

Dunlap designed and deployed the connected environment for the new facility, including: - Internet connectivity - Structured network infrastructure - Multi-tenant networking - Indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi - Commercial surveillance - Gate connectivity - Access control - Remote system administration Coverage, entry, connectivity, and surveillance were planned around the building materials, property layout, tenant structure, and high-value assets inside the facility.

The outcome

The completed hangar is a connected, remotely manageable facility serving its owners, tenants, and their customers. Networking, Wi-Fi, surveillance, gates, and access control operate as one coordinated environment with a defined support partner.
