From a six-person warehouse to a fully connected 50,000-square-foot operation

Commercial construction

The challenge

The contractor was growing from a six-person warehouse operation into a company with 104 employees occupying a 50,000-square-foot building. Its previous environment had little formal IT infrastructure, but the new facility required dependable connectivity, controlled entry, employee support, centralized systems, and room for continued growth.

The approach

Dunlap designed and deployed the building’s connected technology environment, including: - Business Wi-Fi and physical networking - The server room and supporting infrastructure - Commercial access control - Google Workspace administration - Employee and device support - Documentation and ongoing system management The work extended beyond installing individual products. Network, access, workspace, and support decisions were coordinated as parts of one operating environment.

The outcome

The company moved into a connected facility capable of supporting more than 100 employees. After the building was completed, the contractor retained Dunlap for ongoing technology support. Dunlap now supports its employees and participates in many of the company’s commercial building projects, bringing the same coordination between construction, networks, access, and ongoing operations to new facilities.
